Is Aspire Driving Academy licensed to operate?
Aspire Driving Academy is certified and licensed by the state of Maryland and the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration. We are currently in the process of expanding our products and course offerings into other states and regions.

Does Aspire Driving Academy offer payment plans?
Tuition for the full course is $350. Students may start with a $100 down payment to reserve a seat in a course session. Seats are guaranteed once students have paid at least one third of their course tuition.
Students have up to 12 weeks to pay off their balance but will not be scheduled to complete their mandatory 6 hours of Behind-the-Wheel instruction until their tuition is paid in full. To schedule Behind-the-Wheel driving practice, students must complete all 10 units of class (online), pass the final exam, pay their full tuition, and provide a copy of their learner's permit.

What is the Aspire Driving Academy refund policy?
Students are free to cancel course enrollment free of charge before beginning any coursework. Once
student have started the class, their refund will be prorated based on the percentage of the course
completed at the time of cancellation. For more information regarding the refund policy, please click here.

How long does it take for students to get their driver's license?
This depends entirely on the student, their experience when they start Aspire and where they are in the licensing process. The online course is only one part of the licensing process and students are required to pass the MD learner's permit and MD Driver's Test before obtaining their Maryland Provisional Driver's License. Students are required to complete all coursework within 18 weeks of starting the Driver Education Program.

Do I need to schedule behind-the-wheel instruction if I already know how to drive?
Yes, 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction coached by a certified Driving Instructor is a MD requirement for becoming a licensed driver. This portion of instruction must be completed in-person.

What happens if I miss my Behind-the-Wheel Driving Practice?
Students must notify Aspire Driving Academy staff of cancellations at least 12 hours prior to their scheduled appointment time. Students who cancel within 24 hours, will be charged a $100 fee. This is a mandatory fee to account for last minute cancelations that could have been made available to other students. Students must pay their last minute cancelation fee prior to attending their next session of behind-the-wheel driving practice.

Should I meet my driving instructor for driving practice at the exact time of my appointment?
All students should account for various factors influencing appointment times. Due to delays at the MVA, traffic or distance between students, driving instructors and students can be up to 15 minutes late to driving practice. Driving instructors will notify students if there is an instance where practice will be delayed more than 15 minutes. Students who are more than 15 minutes late, will be rescheduled to another date and time to prevent further delays in the schedule.

What do I do if there are no appointments available and I need to complete Behind-the-Wheel ASAP?
Students can book squeeze in appointments for behind-the-wheel that are conducted outside of normal business hours or instructor work hours. Squeeze-in appointments are $150 per appointment.

How long does it take my student record to be updated?
All Aspire Driving Academy attendance and exam records are updated every 24 hours. MD MVA student records are updated within 72 hours (3 business days) of receiving a certificate of completion.

Can I transfer to or from another driving school?
Students are welcome to transfer to/from another driving school but it is their responsibility to ensure they obtain a copy of all student records. All fees will be prorated based on the portion of the course completed at Aspire Driving Academy.

What if I fail my learner's permit exam or driver's exam after attending Aspire?
Aspire Driving Academy offers remedial/additional instruction for students who need additional practice. If for some reason you experience difficulty passing the learner's permit exam or the driver skills test, we offer additional coaching at a reduced rate until you meet your goal.

Can I rent a vehicle for my MVA Driver Skills Test?
Yes, you can rent MVA approved vehicles to take the MVA Driver Skills Test to obtain your license. Vehicle reservations cost $150 for 3 hours and every additional hour is $50.

Aspire Driving Academy is not responsible for whether you pass or fail your driving test; only providing the vehicle and documentation for the test. Students will be charged for three hours of vehicle reservation time whether they pass or fail the driving test.
